JEE Main 2016 Admit Card can be downloaded from JEE Main website from 1st week of March 2016 onwards. The Admit Card of JEE Main 2016 will be issued by CBSE for those candidates who had successfully filled JEE Main Application Form. How to download JEE Main Admit Card

  • Go to official site of the board.
  • Search for the link “JEE Main 2016 admit card”
  • Now enter your application number, DOB and security pin for downloading the admit card. If the candidate forgotten his/her application number then, click on the link forget password to reset the password.
  • Then take the printout of the downloaded admit card for the further admission process.

JEE Main 2016 Admit Card Guidelines to Candidates

  • Please check the JEE Main Admit Card carefully for your Name, Paper, Date of Birth, Gender, Test Center Name, City, State Code of Eligibility and Category. In case of any discrepancy, communicate to JEE Main Secretariat immediately for necessary action.
  • The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility conditions.
  • Candidates are advised to reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the examination so as to complete the registration formalities well before the time. Registration desk will be closed 05 minutes prior to the examination.
  • The candidate must show, on demand, the Admit Card for admission in the examination room/hall. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card issued by the Board shall not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.
  • The candidates are advised to also bring with them a copy of document (as per following applicable criteria) on the day of their JEE Main – 2016 and submit the same to the invigilator at the examination centre. The Candidates have to write Roll No. of JEE Main Examination on the copy of the document being submitted in support of class 12th/Qualifying examination.

JEE Main Result/Score 2016

JEE Main Result/Score 2016 will be available through the official website of the CBSE. The candidates can check score, rank list and merit for those who will qualified in the exam. All details regarding JEE Main Result/Score 2016 is mentioned here in this page such as score, rank list and merit.

JEE Main Result/Score 2016

JEE Main Result/Score 2016 for all candidates will be declared by 27 April 2016. This score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main 2016 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced – 2016 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met. On the basis of score in JEE Main Result/Score 2016 and normalised score in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively), separate rank lists will be prepared for admission to B.E./B. Tech. and B. Arch/ B. Planning (in institutions other than IITs). This will be declared by July 2016. JEE Main 2016 Rank Card indicating All India Rank, State Rank and Category Rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on JEE Main website after the declaration of result.

Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others, while other ranks are for information purposes.

In case of a tie, i.e. when two or more candidates obtain equal marks (by giving 60% weightage to performance in JEE Main and 40% weightage to normalised marks in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination), inter-se merit of such candidates shall be decided in the following order:

JEE Main Rank list for admission to B.E/B.Tech(in institutions other than IITs)

  • Resolution by marks obtained in Mathematics in JEE Main 2015. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Physics in the JEE (Main) – 2015. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by total normalised qualifying exam marks. Candidate obtaining higher normalised marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.

JEE Main Rank list for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning(in institutions other than IITs)

  • Resolution by marks obtained in Aptitude Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE Main 2016. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by marks obtained in Drawing Test in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE Main 2016. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by total normalised qualifying exam marks. Candidates obtaining higher normalised marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank

All participating institutes that do not use the centralised Seat Allocation Process will prepare their own ranking based on the performance in JEE Main 2016 and other criteria as decided by them.

JEE Main Application Form 2016

JEE Main Application Form 2016 is available CBSE now as per the the official date in december 2015. Application Form of JEE Main have to be submitted by Online mode only from the official website jeemain.nic.in. Interested candidate whose who wants to enroll themselves for IITs, NITs etc may apply through the process given below. JEE Main Application Form 2016 Correction

Candidate will also have a facility for JEE Main Application Form 2016 Correction in case of any mistake happened during form filling. This facility is optional may or may not be there and is expected from Jan 2016. Candidates visit to official site for this facility.

Candidates fill the form correctly during this time otherwise no more further correction will be done for JEE Main Application Form.

The change of city and change of mode for Online or Offline exam will remain the same. Candidates are not allowed to change this.

Things to Remember for JEE Main Application Form 2016

  1. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form for JEE Main 2016. More than one application i.e Multiple applications from a candidate will be rejected.
  2. The name of the candidate and his/her parents name in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. No prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Col etc should be used.
  3. No options can be changed at a later stage after submission of an application. However, a chance may be given to the candidates to correct/modify some of the particular(s) of the application form online only, with valid reason(s), during the month of Jan 2015.
  4. The JEE Main application form 2016 has been made completely online i.e. the candidate have to fill the particulars online and also upload their photograph, signature and thumb impression. Due to above, the provision of sending hard copy of the application i.e. confirmation page to the JEE (Main) office has been done away with.
  5. Candidate(s) may check the status of their application on JEE Main website.

JEE Main 2016 – Joint Entrance Exam

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2016 is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) announced this common examination in place of AIEEE and IIT Entrance Exam. IIT JEE is being conducted in two parts, JEE Main and JEE-Advanced. About JEE 2016

JEE Main exam is for admission in IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute) and IIEST Shibpur, for admission to its dual degree programme. JEE Advanced is for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Indian School of Mines Dhanbad.

JEE Main Exam

JEE Main Exam has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may opt for either or both of them. Both papers contain multiple choice questions.

  • Paper-1 is for admission in B.E./B.Tech (online and offline).
  • Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning (offline only)
JEE Advanced

Students who qualify JEE Mains can appear for JEE Advanced examination. Approximately 150,000 students qualify to appear for JEE Advanced examination.

  • A candidate must be passed in the final examination in class XII or it’s equivalent exam, also known as Qualifying exam.
  • Candidate can appear for the JEE Main 2016 exam if he/she is appearing for qualifying exams.
  • A general / OBC candidate’s Date of Birth must be on or after 1st October 1991. However, for a reserved student it is relaxed up to 5 years, i.e. 1st October 1986.
  • Candidates must passed in all five subject in class XII.
  • If the candidate has passed class XII in or before year 2012, he/she is not eligible for appearing in JEE Main 2016.
  • A candidate can attempt to pass JEE Main exam for three times

JEE Main 2016 Exam Pattern

JEE-Main Exam has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may opt for either or both of them. The JEE Main Exam Pattern is explained here in detail:

  • The test will be of 3 hrs duration
  • There will be three parts in the question paper consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having equal weightage.
  • Total no of Questions in exam is 90
  • Each question is allotted 4 (four) marks for the correct response. ¼ (one fourth) marks i.e. one mark will be deducted for indicating incorrect response of each question.

JEE Main 2016 Seat Allocation Process and Admission Procedure

Candidates shall be offered admission based on their choices and All India Ranks of JEE (Main)-2015 through a Seat Allocation Process to be announced later. The candidates will be able to make their choices online for branches/programmes and institutes at appropriate time.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in for latest information.

The verification of documents would be done at the time of Seat Allocation Process/admission. In cases where the rank is revised due to rechecking/revaluation/re-totalling of board marks, the revised board mark sheet will also be verified at the time of seat allocation. The purpose would be to verify different records regarding identification, age, qualifying examination, state of eligibility, category and disability (if any) of the candidate. On failing to produce any of the authentic documents, the candidate will not be considered for admission.

SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates will be required to produce original certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of Seat Allocation Process as well as at the time of admission, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
