NMAT Result 2016- Declared

NMAT scaled scores by section and test total scaled score will be displayed on NMAT website within 4 to 5 weeks after the test. The percentile scores has been announced as per the scheduled date.

Scaled scores – All the test papers are equated to account for small differences in overall difficulty and the raw test scores are placed onto a common scale. This is done to ensure scores are comparable across test papers such that the scores are not impacted by different test takers getting different test papers.

Percentile scores – The percentile rank or score shows how a test taker scored when compared to all other test takers who appeared for the test (e.g. all test takers who appeared for the NMAT in same testing year). For example, if a test taker is said to be at the 75th percentile, the test taker scored better than 75% of the test takers who appeared for the NMAT


  • No separate call letter will be mailed
  • Candidate has to login for downloading their Call letter.
  • The final merit list will be prepared in terms of academic marks,work experience, marks obtained in NMAT Exam, GD/PI.
  • The selection criteria will be based on merit only. The cut off for deciding the merit shall be with NMIMS. The candidate who have applied for more than one programme/ Campus, in their application forms, their selection will be based on the merit score obtained by them as well as on the availability of the seats in the respective programme. In this regard, the decision of the NMIMS will be final and undisputable and shall be binding on all concerned.

NMAT Admit Card 2016 is required during the Examination of NMAT which is issued for candidate who has registered for NMAT 2016. NMAT Admit Card 2016 contains Candidate ID, name, Date of birth, photograph and instruction for exam. Without Admit Card Candidate are not allowed to enter in the examination hall.


The Invigilator will sign the admit card at the designated place and put the company seal as a confirmation of the test taker reporting to take the test. The Admit Card can be download from the same page as per the scheduled date .The link for which is given below

Candidates can register for the NMAT through an online registration process available on the website www.nmat.org.in from 9:00 am (IST) onwards starting Jul 2, 2015. Online registrations will close at 11:59 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) on Oct 5, 2015. Candidates are required to check all eligibility details before applying. In absence of any eligibility requirement at the time of admission your application will be rejected.

Candidate need to upload a photograph as part of the registration based on the following specifications

  • Photograph should be in JPEG format, 200 pixels high and 150 pixels wide.
  • Size should not exceed 500 kb.
  • The background should be either white or light colored.
  • Eyes should be open and clearly visible.
  • The face should face forward, be distinctly visible and centered.
  • Shoulders should be visible.
  • Photograph should not be more than 6 months old.
  • Following photographs are not acceptable and liable to get rejected
    • Facebook photos and/or photos not having the above mentioned specifications of size.
    • Photos in which the test administration staff cannot sufficiently authenticate your identity.
    • Photos with a dark background.
  • Test takers need to confirm their email ID before initiating their registration. Confirmation of completed registration and payment will be sent by email on the confirmed email ID only. GMGC shall not be held responsible for non-receipt of confirmation or returned e-mail.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the test taker to ascertain whether he/she possesses the necessary and requisite qualifications for applying to the programs offered by various universities. Test takers will need to confirm that they understand the eligibility criteria before submitting their application form. GMGC shall not be held responsible for any concerns arising out of qualifications mismatch.
  • Registration applications submitted without the proper notified registration fee, or with insufficient or incorrect details, no photos or photos not matching the criteria mentioned above, or payment received beyond the specified closing time and date for submitting the registration application, will be rejected and GMGC shall not entertain any queries with respect to the same.
  • Test takers need to ensure that the information submitted by them is correct and true in all respects. If any information is found to be incorrect or false at a later date, GMGC reserves the right to prevent the test taker from testing and/or cancel the test score. In the event of the prohibition to test or cancellation of the score due to furnishing of incorrect/false information, the test registration fee will not be refunded.
  • There is no provision for on-the-spot registration for the NMAT at the test centers. Test takers will have to follow the prescribed registration process published on this website during the published registration dates.
  • Test takers are not allowed to make duplicate/multiple registrations. Test registration is liable to be rejected and test fee forfeited if the test taker registers multiple times and/or has taken the test under different registration numbers. This also applies to test takers applying to various programs offered by NMAT accepting schools. Test takers are allowed to register only once and take up to a maximum of 3 attempts, including no shows.
  • Test takers will be able to edit only certain fields like Programme Selection and Candidate Preferences in their registration form after submitting the registration fee. Test takers are advised to check the information entered in the online registration form very carefully while registering and once again before submitting the registration as they will not be allowed to make any changes after submission.
  • The registration for the test is considered valid only if online submission is fully completed by the test taker, accepted by GMGC and the registration fee is received by GMGC by the posted due dates. Registrations for which the registration fee is not received in time will be rejected.
  • NMAT scores are accepted by several universities and business schools. Visit nmat.org.in/test-takers/nmat-accepting-institutions to view the most current list of universities and business schools.


  1. To register for the NMAT™ test, test takers must pay the relevant registration fee. Payment for test fee will be accepted by debit card, credit card, net banking and demand draft. Test takers will be required to pay the applicable late registration fee during the Late Registration window.
  2. Test takers are required to make the demand draft in the name of “Graduate Management Global Connection India Private Limited” payable at Gurgaon, India.

NMAT 2015-2016 is a computer administered test owned by the Graduate Management Global Connection (India) Private Limited (GMGC), a subsidiary of Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC)

Eligibility Criteria for NMAT 2015-2016 varies for each University who were taking admission through NMAT 2015-2016. Candidates who are interested and wants to register themselves can check eligibility clearly for each University and school before registering for NMAT 2015-2016.

For reference eligibility criteria of NMIMS is given below:

  • For all the full time programs, candidates who are appearing for the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply. Provisional admission is subject to clearing the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree with 50 % aggregate marks and selected candidates must produce all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.
  • For all the Full Time programs, candidates having two and more years of postqualification work experience will be preferred.
  • The candidate must have appeared for all his subject(s) / exams before the commencement of the respective program (s) of NMIMS (Deemed to-be-University). The examination of none of the subjects should be held after the commencement of the respective course. Also the candidate should be declared pass in all the above referred subjects (s) / examinations by the University from where he / she is graduating from, with minimum passing requirements (minimum 50% marks in the aggregate).
  • At the time of admission, candidate has to produce semester-wise / trimester-wise / consolidated (only if individual mark sheets are not issued by University / Institute) mark sheets of all years of the college from which he/she is graduated. In case of internet copies of mark sheets, attestation by Principal with official seal is mandatory.
  • The candidates, who have passed or, have appeared for graduation examination from a University where Grade Point Average is given, must produce the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained in writing from the University concerned.
  • It is sole responsibility of the candidate to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission at NMIMS, as verification of the documents is done at the time of final admission.
  • NMIMS reserves the right to alter the terms of eligibility without intimation to the applicants.

The NMAT 2015-2016 exam is computer-delivered and gives each candidate a randomly generated test from a pool of questions, delivered one-at-a-time. The number of questions, difficulty levels, and the time limit for each of the sections is predetermined and, under normal administration conditions, are the same regardless of when and where the test is administered. Candidates have a choice of selecting the order/sequence of the test sections.

The NMAT 2015-2016 exam has three sections – Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning.


The test taker of NMAT needs to bring the following to the test centre on the day of the test, without which the test taker will not be allowed to take the test:

  • Confirmation e-mail printout
  • Admit Card: Test takers can download their Admit Card from the registration site after authentication of their payment
  • Photocopy of the test taker’s Primary ID for submission at the Test centre.
  • Any other document as advised by GMGC for differently abled candidates.
  • Copy of Xth class certificate in case there is mismatch in the name between Xth class certificate and Test taker ID
  • One valid primary ID and another secondary ID
    • List of primary IDs (must contain the test taker’s name, photo and signature)
      • Passport issued by the Government of India
      • PAN Card issued by the Government of India
      • Voter’s ID Card
      • UID/Aadhaar Card
    • List of Secondary IDs (must contain test taker’s name and signature)
      • Passport issued by the Government of India

Test takers can request a test centre change by visiting the Pearson VUE site: http://www.pearsonvue.com/nmatbygmac/. There will be an additional fee payable by credit card only. After the test taker receives the confirmation e-mail from Pearson VUE, she or he will be able to select a new test center


  1. A test taker will be allowed to reschedule the test no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled test to a different date, time and/or test centre, subject to availability, by paying the applicable fee.
  2. Seat availability in terms of test centre, slot and date will be on a “First come, First serve” basis.
  3. A test taker cannot reschedule a test if 72 hours or less remain before the scheduled test. Refer section on Test Fee Forfeit.
  4. Test takers will be able to exercise the rescheduling option between Jul 03, 2015 and Dec 16, 2015
