JOINT ADMISSION COUNSELLING (JAC) DELHI-2015

Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi is offering Admission to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. Programmes for Academic Year 2015-16 in 04 pioneering Technical Universities/Institutes viz. Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Tecnology (NSIT). The admissions will be conducted through Common Counselling. Prospective candidates are required to fill single online application form for admission to DTU, IGDTUW, IIITD and NSIT for admission to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. Programmes.

JAC DELHI 2015 PROCEDURE

The admission will be carried out in two simple steps of counselling. In the first step, the candidates have to submit the Counselling Participation Fee of Rs. 1100/- and in the second step, the candidates are required to fill the choices for the branches and University/Institute as per their priority list.

Note:

The counselling for B.Arch. Programme at IGDTUW will be conducted in offline mode. After the allocation of seat first time through Common Counselling, candidates are required to submit the requisite fee and must report to the respective University/Institution as per the calendar of activities mentioned in the Admission Brochure for document verification and confirmation of their admission failing which the allocated seat will be cancelled and the candidate will not be considered for further round of online counselling

JOINT ADMISSION COUNSELLING DELHI 2015

The Joint Admission Counselling Delhi 2015 will be conducted in four rounds. Each rounds of Counselling will be depends on the availability of seats in the previous rounds. After 3 round there may be a on the spot round of counselling. Spot round of Counselling purely depends on the availability of seats after the 3rd round of counselling. Then no further round will be conducted.

JAC DELHI 2015 SEAT ALLOTMENT

Seat Allotment – General Rules

1).During this step, the choices submitted by the candidates will be processed centrally and seats will be allotted in the order of merit as explained below on the basis of the locked choices. The allotment result will be available on the website http://www.jacdelhi.nic.in.

2).Preparation of Merit List in respect of NSIT, DTU and IGDTUW

For B.E/ B.Tech

As per JEE (Main)-2015 Paper-1 (B.E/ B.Tech) All India Rank (AIR) as given by CBSE and on the basis of the locked choices. The allotment result will be available on the website http://www.jacdelhi.nic.in.

For B. Arch at IGDTUW

As per JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-2 (B.Arch.) All India Rank (AIR) as given by CBSE and other minimum qualification eligibility criteria. The allotment result will be available on the website http://www.jacdelhi.nic.in, http://www.igdtuw.ac.in

JAC DELHI 2015 SELECTION PROCESS

DTU, NSIT and IGDTUW will create merit list based on JEE Main AIR issued by CBSE. IIIT Delhi will create merit list based on JEE Main Marks and HSC marks in a 60-40 weightage and will also give bonus marks for scholarship,olympiads and other achievements in addition to this.

Joint Counselling of all four Colleges will enable student of Delhi and Outside of Delhi to apply through single portal and don’t need to fill so many forms.

JAC DELHI 2015 COUNSELLING PROCEDURE

Online Choice Filling

  • All the registered candidates who have paid the registration-cum-counselling fee are required to exercise their choices of University/Institute and Branch in order of their preference.
  • As per the eligibility of the candidate, available seat information relating to University/Institution and Branches will be displayed.
  • Candidates can fill in as much number of choices in the order of preference as they wish to fill, from the list of available choices.
  • Candidates are not permitted, to change, re-order, delete earlier choices and add new choices after last date of choice filling i.e. 12 th July2015, Midnight (IST).
  • The registered candidates are required to see the fees structure and branches of each institute before filling the choices.

Choice Locking & Printing of Locked Choices

  • Choices filled by candidate will be locked automatically after registration period is over i.e. 12th July 2015, Midnight (IST).The candidates are not allowed to change their choices after 12th July 2015, Midnight (IST).
  • Candidates have to take the print out of the filled choices only after closing of choice filling in that particular round

JAC DELHI ELIGIBILITY 2015

JAC DELHI ELIGIBILITY 2015 FOR DTU, IGDTUW

Admission to these Institutions/Universities will be based on All India Rank prepared by
CBSE giving 40% weightage (suitably normalized) to class XII (or equivalent examination) or other qualifying examination marks and 60% to the performance in JEE(Main)-2015
Examination (Paper – 1) and also the candidate must have declared eligible for Central
Counseling by the CBSE

Educational Qualifications for B.E. / B.Tech

For Delhi Region Candidates (85% of seats)

A candidate passing any of the following examinations from a recognized School/College/Institute located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi only and securing 60 % or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and must have passed English as a subject of study of the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective) shall be eligible for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Technology / Bachelor of Engineering Course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately.

(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi.

(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E.

For Outside Delhi Region Candidates (15% of seats)

A candidate passing any of the following examinations from a recognized School/College/Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi and securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have passed English as a subject of study of the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective) shall be eligible for admission to the First Semester of Bachelor of Technology Course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately:

(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-Year Course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) New Delhi.

(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E.

Educational Qualifications for Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) 5 year Programme at IGDTUW

Candidate shall be eligible for admission to the First Year of the Bachelor Degree Programme in Architecture (B. Arch.) if they have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate, with Mathematics as a subject in the Class 12th qualifying examination and qualifies the JEE (Main) – 2015 (Paper – 2) examination. The candidate must have declared eligible for Central Counseling by the CBSE. For more details regarding admission to B.Arch. Programme applicants may refer to the JAC website.

Age Requirements

Applicant must be 17 years of age and maximum 25 years of age on or before the 1.10.2015. Relaxation in minimum age up to one year only with the approval of Competent Authority is permissible (Such candidate should apply for relaxation only at the time of admission). Candidates who are short in age by more than one year are not eligible for admission.

Relaxation in Marks for Reserved Categories

Candidates belonging to the following categories, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a concession in the minimum eligibility requirements as detailed below:

1. Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): Candidates belonging to Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL) shall be allowed 5% concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

2. Defence Category (CW): The children belonging to Defence Category who apply for seats reserved for them shall be allowed relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

3. Scheduled Castes (SC): and Scheduled Tribes (ST): Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be allowed 10% concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

4. Differently Abled Persons (PD): Candidates belonging to “Differently Abled Persons” category shall be allowed 10% concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

JAC DELHI ELIGIBILITY 2015 FOR NSIT

Educational Qualifications:

Same as above for DTU and IGDTUW

Age Requirement:

There is no minimum age requirement.

Relaxation in Marks for Reserved Categories

1.Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST): A candidate claiming reservation under SC or ST category is required to just pass in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

2.Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): A relaxation of 10% i.e. 54% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

3.Defence Category (CW): A relaxation of 5% i.e. 57% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

4.Differently Abled Persons (PD): A relaxation of 5% i.e. 57% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

JAC DELHI ELIGIBILITY 2015 FOR IIIT

Educational Qualifications:

A candidate who has secured 80 percent or more marks in the aggregate of best of five subjects including Physics , Chemistry & Mathematics and 80% or more in Mathematics in class XII from CBSE/ICSE/IB board or equivalent is eligible for applying to IIIT-D. This requirement is in addition to the marks obtained in Paper 1 of JEE (Main)-2015. However, if the result of 10+2 is not declared by the last date of applying, the student is not eligible for this year’s admission process. If the board has more than five subjects for aggregate, the best five will be taken into account.

No candidate without proof of 80% in aggregate as stated above and 80% in Mathematics will be entertained for admission even if he/she qualifies the JEE (Main) 2015.

Same as above for DTU and IGDTUW

Relaxation in Marks for Reserved Categories

1. Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): Candidates belonging to Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL) shall be allowed 5% concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

2. Defence Category (CW): Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements for all priorities.

3. Scheduled Castes (SC): and Scheduled Tribes (ST): Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be allowed 10% concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

4. Differently Abled Persons (PD): Candidates belonging to “Differently Abled Persons” category shall be allowed 5% concession of marks in the minimum eligibility requirements

Note:

(i) The admission under 85% quota and 15% quota will be made strictly on All India Overall Rank prepared by giving 40% weightage (suitably normalized) to class XII (or equivalent examination) or other qualifying examination marks and 60% to the performance in JEE Main-2015 Examination and also the candidate must have declared eligible for Central Counseling by the CBSE. At IIITD

(ii) A candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study of the senior school certificate examination level (core or elective).

(iii)Candidates who have appeared at the Annual Examination of the year 2015 and placed in compartment will not be eligible for admission for the year 2015-16.

(iv)Candidates who have appeared at the Annual Examination of the year 2015 and reappear for the improvement to acquire the eligibility will not be considered for admission for the year 2015-16

(v) For a candidate who has passed the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidyalaya, Delhi / National Institute of Open School, Delhi (NIOS), the criterion for deciding the region shall be the location of his Centre of examination. In other words, if the Centre of examination is located in the N.C.T. of Delhi, the candidate shall be considered under the Delhi Region and if the centre of examination is located outside N.C.T. of Delhi, he shall be considered under the Outside Delhi Region

JAC DELHI APPLICATION FORM 2015

Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-D) will hold online counseling for admission to 1st year B.E./B.Tech. and counseling for B.Arch. Programme will be held only at IGDTUW in offline mode.

Admission in DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT will be strictly based on All India Rank in JEE (Main) –2015 on the basis of Paper-I.

Admission in IIIT-D will be based on (i) total marks obtained in Paper 1 of JEE (Main)- 2015 and normalized score in Class 12th as provided by JEE (60% & 40% weightage respectively) and (ii) bonus marks which are given for achievements in various areas like Olympiads, programming contest, national talent search, sports, culture, chess, etc

All candidates desirous of seeking admission to all engineering/architecture programmes at DTU, IGDTUW, NSIT and IIIT-D are required to visit website www.jacdelhi.nic.in to pay initial registration-cum-counselling fee of Rs. 1100/- + Bank Charges and to complete the online registration process from 30th June 2015 to 10th July 2015 midnight

Online Registration by candidates is allowed only in 1st round of counselling. No fresh registrations will be allowed in the subsequent rounds of counselling

The candidate will initiate fee submission for online registration process by entering his/her following details:

  • JEE(Main) Roll No
  • Mobile No.
  • E-Mail ID

  4. Result Status (Declared Pass) of 12th Class

Filling of Choices

After successful login, candidate’s home page is opened and following options are displayed:

  • Registration Details: Registration Detail is important for seat allotment and should be filled very carefully.
  • Edit Registration: Any mistake can be corrected in the above through “Edit Registration” option only if the candidate has not locked his choices.
  • Available Choices: The list of branches available for admission shall be displayed
