Formed 1940

HAL was established as Hindustan Aircraft in Bangalore in 1940. It is an Indian aerospace and defence company with Headquarters based in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is governed under the management of the Indian Ministry of Defence. HAL include Nasik, Korwa, Kanpur, Koraput, Lucknow, Bangalore and Hyderabad as its production Unit. These include manufacturing and assembly of aircraft, navigation and related communication equipment and airports operation.

Founded 1954

BEL is fomed in 1954 with its headquarters at Bangalore. It runs by Indian Government and primarily manufactures advanced electronic products for the Indian Armed Forces. BEL is one of nine PSUs under the Ministry of Defence of India. It has been accorded Navratna status by the Government of India. Over the years, it has grown into a multi-product, multi-technology, multi-unit company servicing the needs of customers in diverse fields in India and abroad. BEL is having 9 production Unit.

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was established in 1958 by Defence Science Organisation. Work under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) was established by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) at Delhi in 1959 and its headquarters was later moved to Bangalore. It is India’s second largest aerospace firm after Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

Formed in 1969 headquartered in the city of Bengaluru. Its vision is to “harness space technology for national development, while pursuing space science research and planetary exploration. The establishment of ISRO is to performed space activities in India. ISRO built India’s first satellite, Aryabhata, which was launched on 19 April in 1975. Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is under India’s Ministry of Defence was established at Bangalore, in 1984. ADA majorly looks for the development of nation’s Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme. Currently, the organisation is involved in design and development of multiple versions of LCA, HAL AMCA and UCAV.

ADA has developed specialised software in the fields of computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided engineering (CAE), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), avionics, systems, independent validation and verification, flight simulation.
