UPSC SCRA EXAM 2016 – SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICES

UPSC Special Class Railway Apprentices Exam 2016 invites application for selection of candidates for appointment as Special Class Apprentices in Mechanical Engineering Department of Indian Railways The UPSC SCRA Exam 2016 will be held by the Union Public Service Commission on January 2016 in accordance with the Ministry of Railways in the Gazette of India.

No of Vacancies to be filled on the basis of UPSC SCRA Exam 2016 is 42.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UPSC SCRA EXAM 2016

1.) NATIONALITY

A citizen of India,Nepal ,Bhutan

2.) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

For admission to the examination a candidate

  • Must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with mathematics and at least one of the subjects of the examination.
  • Graduate with mathematics and at least one of the subjects physics and chemistry as their degree subjects may also apply
  • Must have passed first or second division,the Higher Secondary Examination under 10 Plus 2 pattern of School Education with mathematics and at least one of the subjects physics and chemistry as subjects of the examination.
  • Must have passed the first year Examination under the three year degree course of a University or the first examination.
  • The candidate must passed first/second year examination under the three year degree course in the first or second division with Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry as subjects of Examination may also apply
  • Must have passed in the first or second division the Pre-Engineering Examination of a University, approved by the Government of India
  •  Must have passed in the first year examination under the five year Engineering Degree Course of a University

3.) AGE LIMITS 

A candidate must have attained the age of 17 Years and must not attained the age of 21 years on 1st January,2016, i.e he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st January, 1999

The Upper age limit is relaxation as follows:

  • upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST caste
  • upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to other backward class.
  • upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had domiciled in J&K
  • upto a maximum of 5 years if case of Defense Services personnel.

4.) PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to UPSC SCRA Exam 2016 as per rules for Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination 2016 published in Gazette of India dated October 2015

Before start filling up of SCRA Exam Application Form, a candidate

  • must have his/her photograph and signature duly scanned in .jpg format in such a manner thet each file should not exceed 40kb and not less than 3kb.
  • must have valid email id

Candidates will be required to complete the Online Application Form containing two stages Part I and Part II as per the instruction available in the websites as per the scheduled date.

No Admit Card will be sent by post For Downloading SCRA Admit Card the candidates must have the following with them

AIR INDIA TRAINEE CABIN CREW RECRUITMENT

Air India Limited is looking for bright and energetic Indian National young boys and girls to join as Trainee Cabin Crew for its immediate following requirement in Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern Regions on a fixed term engagement, for an initial period of five years and to maintain a wait list for future requirements.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AIR INDIA TRAINEE CABIN CREW

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

10+2 from a recognized Board/University Candidates who are three years’ Degree/Diploma Holder in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a Government recognized Institute will be given preference.

AGE

Between 18 and 27 years (Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC categories).

MARITAL STATUS: Unmarried

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

1. Height & BMI:

Female – Minimum 160 cms.

Male – Minimum 172 cms.

Eligible candidates would be required to go through a Group Dynamics & Personality Assessment Test (GD & PAT) at the venues as decided by Air India Limited. GD & PAT shall be conducted in phases and candidates who qualify the same and fall in the applicable zone of consideration, will appear for a Written Test.

OTHER INFORMATION FOR AIR INDIA TRAINEE CABIN CREW

Eligible Female candidates will be required to appear for GD & PAT in “SAREE” and male candidates in formal attire.

Eligible candidates would be required to bring photocopies of testimonials in support of their date of birth, qualification, experience, Caste, Medical Certificate/s, Demand Draft and also domicile proof (if claiming relaxation in height) along with ORIGINALS at the time of appearing for GD & PAT

At the time of GD & PAT, candidates w i l l be required to bring two POST-CARD size FULL LENGTH photographs (One-Front View and another-Side View). The dress code prescribed for these photographs is SAREE for Female candidates and formal attire for Male candidates.

Training: Selected candidates will be imparted training at Hyderabad/Mumbai or at any other place decided by the Company and will be required to obtain necessary DGCA approval on Air India Ltd’s fleet as decided by the Management from time to time.

Period of Fixed Term Engagement: Candidates will be engaged on a Fixed Term contract initially for a period of five years, which is extendable subject to performance of the candidate and the Company’s requirement.

Emoluments: During the period of training, the candidates will be given a stipend of Rs.15,000/- per month. After successful completion of the training, candidates may initially draw Rs.35,075/- per month. The above salary includes Fixed pay of Rs.16,675/- and Rs.18400/- as Flying Allowance for 70 hours of flying in a month.

In addition to above, candidates will also be eligible for Standby Allowance of Rs.300/- per Standby Duty at the Airport.

Candidates will also be eligible for payment of Layover Allowance @ USD 45 per day for International Flights where Night Stay is involved, as per rules.

In case of flying for more/less than 70 hours in a month, the above Flying Allowance will be increased/decreased, as the case may be

  1. The online registration & scheduling form for FMGE is available on http://www.fmge.nbe.gov.in/
  2. Candidate may note that there is no option for submitting the form other than the online mode.
  3. Candidates are advised to go through the Registration Guide before proceeding to complete their registration & scheduling process. Once the candidate has completed his/her scheduling process, there will be no option to reschedule.
  4. Online registration & scheduling must be completed by the prescribed cutoff date. At the end of Registration process the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgment. All fields marked * in the online registration form are mandatory.
  5. Applications of the candidates producing false or fabricated information will not be considered and the candidates may be further debarred from appearing in any future examinations
